The ABIHM and Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine co-sponsor our Annual Conference, The Science and Clinical Application of Integrative Holistic Medicine. The conference attracts many types of practitioners, and is appropriate for both newcomers to integrative holistic medicine and seasoned practitioners.
In November, 2012, 40.75 hours of AMA PRA Category One Credit and AAFP Prescribed Credit were available to physicians who attended the main conference plus the preconference. CEU’s were available for acupuncturists, DC’s, ND’s, NP’s, RN’s, PA’s, nurse midwives, dieticians, pharmacists, and psychologists.
The course is well recognized for its evidence based, academically rigorous content, presented in a thoughtful and holistic manner. Participants quite frequently comment that the experience at the Annual Conference was “transformational” relative to their personal and professional lives.
Opportunities for networking and personal renewal help to deepen the learning experience, and participants also benefit greatly through personal contact with the Annual Conference speakers and the ABIHM Board of Directors throughout the week.

Helpful Registration Tips:
We advise reading our FAQ’s to help learn about the way the Annual Conference and the Certification process are administered. Questions regarding registration for the Certification Exam should be addressed to the ABIHM, while questions regarding registration for the Annual Conference should be addressed through Scripps. Please note that registration for the Review Course and the Certification Exam involve entirely separate processes and fees.
The Annual Conference is an optional component of preparation for the certification process, and is offered once yearly in the fall. ABIHM Diplomates tell us that attending the Annual Conference provided meaningful review and preparation for the ABIHM Certification Exam. The curriculum changes slightly from year to year, but if the upcoming brochure is not available (usually in print by May), referring to the previous year’s program can give you a good sense of the conference experience.
