Tips for an Effective Search

If you are looking for a holistic physician, please use the locator link to find a physician by location, specialty or name.

In order to optimize your ability to find a physician who matches your needs, we suggest the following:

  • Start with a very broad search, by filling in ONLY the state field.
  • If you live in a very large state, fill in ONLY the zip code field, and check the “extended zip code area” box.
  • If you need a more refined search, it is ideal to highlight as many of the specialty areas that interest you (press “Ctrl” button to highlight more than one specialty).
  • Even if you think you need a specialist, many primary care physicians are adept in treating people with a variety of conditions, so we advise carefully looking over all the physician options in your area.
  • If your search reveals zero results, then no physician in the area that you’ve specified meets your criteria, and you may need to travel further to find a Diplomate who meets your needs.
  • Remember: Sometimes, more is not better. If you are not experiencing good results from being specific with specialties and regions, a broader search is likely to be more fruitful. You will always find more physicians the fewer fields you complete!
